Australia has many very unique places to stay, place names and things to do. A very unique place to camp is at Riba’s Underground campsite in Coober Pedy South Australia. As Coober Pedy is a very unique town and underground homes are normal, to be more unusual camping 7 metres underground is an option. Riba’s Underground campsite is about 4 kilometres out of town and has plenty of features for your comfort. You can camp above ground also.

This Old Schoolhouse at Coonabarrabran NSW is another unique place to stay, the property is a farm so there is plenty of activities to do as well.

How about renting a cave in the Blue Mountains for somewhere very unusual, it’s called Hatters Hideout and eco friendly.

Australia has some very unusual town and place names – the longest one is

Mamungkukumpurangkuntjunya Hill in South Australia which is apparently in the Everard Ranges near Mimili and pretty close to Victory Well camping ground.

Here is a few more

Come by chance, NSW

Humpybong, Queensland

Innalo Fresho, WA

Knuckey Lagoon, NT

Ozenkadnook, Victoria

Nowhere Else, Tasmania & SA

Do you know of other Australian unusual places to stay or town names that are unusual.
